Mr. & Mrs. Owens had recently purchased a new Mobile Home and were excited about the expansion. Their new homesite required some extensive erosion planning as well as a LOT of fill dirt brought in to create the new 60′ x 80′ house pad. The back corner of the pad had to be built up nearly 3′ higher and the opposite corner was cut about 1′ lower than grade. With a natural slope/hillside on the upper end, we had to make sure that rain run-off didn’t end up under their new home and/or wash out the pad over time. We used the bulldozer for the heavy dirt moving, and then the skid steer to apply the final grade and landscaping. All in all, it took approximately 20 loads of dirt to complete the pad.
